Iowa Hawkeyes basketball star Caitlin Clark has drawn parallels between her team’s dynamic and that of the Kansas City Chiefs. She likens her role to that of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, orchestrating plays and leading the offense, while comparing her teammate, forward Hannah Stuelke, to tight end Travis Kelce, emphasizing their strong on-court connection. Clark, a lifelong Chiefs fan due to family ties in Kansas City, has been supporting the team since before the Mahomes-Kelce era. She has fond memories of attending Chiefs games during her youth.

Caitlin Clark has swiftly become one of the biggest sporting names in the United States of America, but that is specifically due to her skills on the basketball court.

Now, it turns out she knows her way around an American football too. A clip has emerged of Clark taking part in a throwing drill ahead of the Super Bowl this Sunday between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Having had one practice throw, Clark addresses the camera to say: “What’s up guys, I’m here at the Gatorade Lab, it’s Super Bowl LIX. I’m feeling really dehydrated, let’s see how I do.”

She then puts on a pair of ‘dehydration goggles’ that emulate the dizziness and blurred vision that comes with dehydration, and attempts to throw the football into a net at the far end of the room.

She has three failed attempts with the goggles, and then has another go without them to show the difference. Clark immediately hit five throws in a row with complete ease, despite this not being her sport.

Will Caitlin Clark be at the Super Bowl?

Clark has been cheering the Chiefs on during the Playoffs and even attended a game, meaning there is a chance that she will be at the Super Bowl in New Orleans this weekend, which takes place at Caesars Superdome.

Perhaps with a display like that one, she could convince Chiefs coach Andy Reid to give her a go in the team on the big day.

Her multi-sport abilities are perhaps not a surprise given Clark played soccer and golf whilst she was in college in Iowa, but basketball is where the WNBA star really excelled.
